Debate Club students participated in the WHO - Winter Holidays Open '24, an international tournament hosted by the Croatian Debate Society in Zagreb. The delegation, consisting of 13 novice debaters across 3 teams, engaged in thrilling matches against high school students from 16 different countries, with a total of 400 participants. Over six matches from December 12-16, our debaters tackled two prepared motions and two impromptu motions, impressing the judges with their skills and dedication. This experience was not only educational but also a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow debaters and honourable judges from around the world. On the final day of the tournament, we visited the Turkish Consulate in Zagreb. Our debaters had the opportunity to speak with diplomats about their future plans.
