Sacit Öncel, a founding member of the Feyziye Schools Foundation, served as school principal and later as a member of the Board of Directors of the Feyziye Schools Association. He retired from his position as Principal of Işık High School in 1970 and from the Board of Directors in 1980. He passed away on September 4, 1987. To honor the memory of our esteemed principal and administrator, the Sacit Öncel Biology Achievement Award—organized by Prof. Dr. Turan Durgunoğlu, a 1963 graduate of FMV Işık High School, together with Mr. Öncel’s legal heirs—has been awarded to Liza Sarı, a 12th grade student at FMV Işık High School. We congratulate our student, who impressed the jury members with her outstanding achievement, and extend our thanks to her family and teachers for their dedicated support.
