“A Gift To Ata”
FMV Işık High School held two commemorative events honoring the memory of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on November 7th and November 10th. Both ceremonies began with a moment of silence and the singing of our National Anthem, followed by an opening speech by FMV Işık High School Principal Mr. Hakan Kulaber, emphasizing the significance of the day. Afterwards, under the instruction of Music Teacher Dr. Yonca Karul, the school choir performed songs dedicated to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Following the choir, FMV Işık High School teachers recited Orhan Şaik Gökyay’s poem “Sayende” in tribute to Atatürk. After this meaningful performance, a drama named “ A Gift to Ata” directed by Turkish Language and Literature Teacher, Emrah Zencirci took place. Our ceremonies came to an end with heartfelt salutations to Atatürk, led by FMV Işık High School Principal Mr. Hakan Kulaber, along with our teachers and students.
