Organized by the Social Studies Department of FMV Ayazağa Işık High School and Science High School, the “October 6, Liberation of Istanbul from the Occupation” ceremony was held with the participation of the District Director of National Education for Sarıyer, Hüseyin Özcanlar, the school principal, teachers, and students.

The ceremony began with an opening speech by our School Principal, Mr. Özgür Alper, and continued with a piano recital by a 10th-grade student.

Following the speech by our history teacher about the historical significance of the day, the ceremony concluded with the reading of Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu’s poem “Istanbul Destanı” and a visual presentation titled “Geçmiş Zamanda İstanbul”.
