On October 31, Ayazağa Işık High School and Science High School students gathered with 1996 FMV Işık High School alumni Opr. Dr. Evrim Uçkunkaya for the “Don’t Say It Won’t Happen to Me” conference held as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities within the IB CAS Program.

The conference began with a piano recital by our 12th-grade student, Alp Hekimoğlu. Following the performance, Opr. Dr. Uçkunkaya shared vital insights on breast cancer awareness and healthy lifestyle practices. After the conference, an awareness activity was held to support the Global Schools Program’s "Health and Well-being" goal. This activity included a memory wall prepared by applied course teachers.

This valuable event provided an opportunity for the entire school community to raise awareness about breast cancer. We extend our sincere thanks to Opr. Dr. Evrim Uçkunkaya.
